Man dies in hit-and-run collision in Miami, Florida

The Coral Springs area is a bustling metropolitan sprawl, with vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians sharing the road. A desirable place to live, such as Miami, can expect this type of conglomeration, but, unfortunately, this also means that there will be times when deadly collisions will occur involving pedestrians and motorists. That is what happened in the early morning hours on June 3, according to reports.

The reports indicate that a pedestrian was crossing a street in Little Haiti at about 12:30am on June 3, when he was struck by a car. Then, to make matters worse, while the man was apparently down on the ground due to injuries he suffered in the collision with the car, an SUV subsequently struck him in a second collision. The SUV then left the scene. The driver of the car that first hit the pedestrian stayed on the scene.

In the aftermath of this hit-and-run incident, law enforcement officials were attempting to locate the SUV and its driver. Fortunately, there were some witnesses on the scene who saw the SUV, and attempted to flag it down after it struck the pedestrian. There was also some traffic camera footage, which led police officers to believe that the vehicle was an Infinity SUV.

According to the reports, the pedestrian who was struck by these vehicles died three days later. As more details emerge about this deadly hit-and-run collision, it may be possible for the deceased victim's family members to consider their legal options, potentially including a wrongful death lawsuit. And hopefully the driver of the SUV involved in this incident will be identified and held to account.
